Medusa

White Velvet

In September I was in love with a sleeveless tangerine dress with a fluted skirt. I purchased it from Foreign Exchange and wore for a friend's wedding later on that month. The cut was so perfect on my I designed a dress myself and hope to finish by the summer. Materials will be expensive because I plan to buy lace for the first time or anything textural for instance embroidered fabric with a trim of white velvet. If I can find a white or even cream I will be very happy. This dress will be fitted up top, all white, and with the same fluted skirt. The bottom half will be very very happy but I am confident I can execute it well especially since I now own a Viking Husqvarna Serger. I will try my best to take the pictures in steps.

Christmas Card #2

Mistletoad

I loved watching the Muppets when I was a kid and was ecstatic to find out a movie was coming out in November. I made a small version of Miss Piggy and Kermit.

Christmas Cards

It's been awhile since I post up any of my work. I've been neglecting my creative side and now its bursting out of me. I'm currently working on leather art, making a wallet, a money clip, Christmas hair accessories and Christmas cards. This is what I finished last night in about... an hour. I didn't have a specific plan just that I wanted a partridge in a pear tree. I should have laid it out and figured out what colors I needed first but I suppose I was just in a rush to finish before I head out to work. I'll post up the others soon.

My next inspiration

I fell in LOVE with this picture... and I can't wait to come up with something on this.
It's a picture of a prostitute from 1912 in New Orleans. I thought this was charming and absolutely beautiful.

Sue Cho's Photoshoot

I helped style a shoot for a dear friend, Sue Cho who is a vocalist for House & Electronica music. I also added a video clip of her performance.

We went for 3 different looks which were sexy, classy, and spunky. The sexy look was with the gray tutu and the black leather bustier from Forever 21 and a fur vest which was pinned at the back. The second look was this sweater Sue was in love with by Marc Jacobs. It was indigo blue but had specs of gold. The last look was my favorite when I saw this giraffe t- shirt at Heritage in the men's section, I knew this was the winning look especially for the genre of music. I cut the neck line and thought it was a great idea to have the same pattern painted on her face. I was hoping to have more on her face but it was our first time trying it out and we couldn't experiment on a face that was already done with make up. Obviously you can see how much fun she had with this sassy look.

Photoshoot

I can't believe I forgotten to post about my photo shoot that took place on February 5th at Brand Park. Here were the results of the shoot. I had much more costumes to photograph but we had a slight debacle between the model and the make up artist. There's always something that happens but sometimes you just have to push forward and think positive. We were only able to photograph two looks because I had a party to caricature for at the LA Sports Club.
